“UConn excellence in the state capital — a downtown gateway to careers and completion.”
The University of Connecticut Hartford Campus is an urban regional campus of Connecticut's flagship public university, located in the heart of downtown Hartford, the state capital. Serving more than 1,600 undergraduate and graduate students, UConn Hartford provides a flexible and affordable entry point to one of the nation's top public universities. Students can complete their first two years at Hartford before transferring to UConn Storrs to access any of 125+ majors, or earn a four-year degree entirely at the Hartford campus in select fields including business, the humanities, and social sciences. The campus's downtown Hartford location places students at the center of Connecticut's legal, financial, insurance, and healthcare industries. Four-year bachelor's degrees available at Hartford include Business Data Analytics, Marketing Management, Financial Management, and English. Graduate and post-baccalaureate programs are also offered on campus. With smaller class sizes than the main Storrs campus, Hartford students receive personalized instruction while benefiting from the full UConn alumni network, career resources, and research institution credentials. The Interstride international career platform is available to help international students navigate work authorization and employment opportunities. As a commuter-focused campus, UConn Hartford draws students from across the Greater Hartford metropolitan area, which employs a major concentration of insurance companies, law firms, hospitals, and government agencies. Students access UConn's Center for International Students and Scholars (CISS) for I-20 support, CPT and OPT advising, and F-1 orientation. The campus offers over 250 Education Abroad and experiential global learning programs, and its central New England location provides straightforward access to both Boston and New York City.
