“A Oneness Pentecostal university educating, equipping, and empowering students for ministry and service.”
Urshan University (formerly Urshan College) is a private, faith-based institution located in Wentzville, Missouri, owned and operated by the United Pentecostal Church International (UPCI). Originally founded in 1968 as Gateway College of Evangelism in Florissant, Missouri, the institution was reorganized and renamed Urshan College in 2011 before rebranding as Urshan University in 2024. The university relocated to its current 43-acre campus in Wentzville at the start of the 2019-2020 academic year, occupying five modern buildings designed to support both academic study and community life rooted in Oneness Pentecostal faith. Urshan University offers bachelor-level programs with a strong emphasis on theological education, ministry preparation, organizational leadership, and human services. The university integrates faith with practical education, preparing graduates for vocational ministry, church planting, missionary work, and service-oriented careers. Programs are grounded in a Oneness Pentecostal theological perspective, making Urshan a distinctive choice for students who share this faith background and wish to receive a Bible-centered education alongside professional training in leadership and public service. With a small, close-knit student body of approximately 500 students, Urshan fosters an intimate academic community where individualized attention and faculty mentorship are central to the educational experience. The Wentzville campus within the greater St. Louis metropolitan area provides students access to urban amenities while maintaining a focused and spiritually vibrant campus environment. Rolling admissions and an affordable tuition of under $10,000 per year make Urshan accessible to students called to ministry and service.
