·Public Community College
Cosumnes River College (CRC) is a public community college founded in 1970, serving south Sacramento County as part of the Los Rios Community College District — one of the largest community college districts in California. Located on a modern campus in Sacramento, CRC offers associate degrees, certificates, and transfer pathways to UC, CSU, and other four-year institutions. The college is known for its strong academic programs in healthcare, business, computer science, liberal arts, and natural sciences, as well as its commitment to student success and workforce development for the Greater Sacramento region. The Hawks compete in nine varsity sports through the California Community College Athletic Association (CCCAA), and the college maintains active student clubs, cultural programs, and learning communities that support students throughout their academic journey. CRC is accredited by the Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges (ACCJC) and is a proud member of the Los Rios system alongside American River, Sacramento City, and Folsom Lake Colleges.
