SUNY College at Oswego is a public liberal arts and sciences university founded in 1861 on the southern shore of Lake Ontario in Oswego, New York. One of the oldest institutions in the State University of New York system, Oswego enrolls approximately 6,700 students across more than 110 undergraduate and graduate programs. The college is nationally recognized for its meteorology and atmospheric science program, one of the few in the Northeast to meet all American Meteorological Society curriculum recommendations. Additional strengths include broadcasting, accounting, education, and human-computer interaction. Oswego competes in NCAA Division III athletics as the Lakers in the SUNYAC conference, fielding 24 varsity sports teams, including a historically strong ice hockey program that won the Division III national championship in 2007.
