St. Petersburg College (SPC) is a public state college serving Pinellas County, Florida, with seven campuses across St. Petersburg, Clearwater, Tarpon Springs, Seminole, and surrounding communities. Founded on September 12, 1927, as St. Petersburg Junior College by Superintendent George Lynch, SPC is Florida's oldest community college and was the first two-year institution of higher learning in the state. The college enrolls approximately 23,350 students in credit programs and serves over 31,000 annually, offering associate degrees, bachelor's degrees in applied fields, and workforce certificates in healthcare, technology, business, education, and public safety.
