Santiago Canyon College (SCC) is a public community college founded in 2000 in Orange, California, and is one of two colleges in the Rancho Santiago Community College District (RSCCD). Despite being one of the newer community colleges in California, SCC has quickly grown to serve nearly 12,000 students in credit programs. The college offers associate degrees and certificates across liberal arts, sciences, technology, and workforce programs, with a strong emphasis on transfer pathways to UC and CSU campuses. SCC's Hawks athletic teams compete in the Southern California Football Association (SCFA) and other California community college conferences. The college is situated in the Irvine Regional Park area of Orange County, offering a distinctive setting with nearby natural surroundings. SCC recently introduced a new Hawks mascot in 2025, reflecting the college's continued growth and school spirit development since its founding.
