Pierce College District is a public two-year community college system founded in 1967, operating two campuses — Fort Steilacoom in Lakewood and Puyallup — serving the south Puget Sound region of Washington State. Enrolling approximately 8,100 students across both campuses, Pierce College offers associate degrees, certificates, and six Bachelor of Applied Science degrees in dental hygiene, emergency management, business management, construction management, fire services leadership, and teaching. The college competes in the Northwest Athletic Conference (NWAC) as the Raiders, fielding teams in baseball, basketball, soccer, softball, volleyball, cross country, and track and field. Pierce College's dental hygiene program and emergency and disaster management programs are among the most recognized in the Pacific Northwest, and the college maintains strong transfer pathways to Washington State University and the University of Washington.
