Lee College is a public two-year community college founded in 1934 in Baytown, Texas, serving the Houston Ship Channel industrial corridor and surrounding communities. Enrolling approximately 8,100 students, Lee College is uniquely positioned to serve the petrochemical, refining, and advanced manufacturing industries concentrated along the Gulf Coast, with its Process Technology program recognized as a flagship pathway to careers in refinery and plant operations. Additional programs in welding, machining, millwright and piping, chemical technology, instrumentation, and electrical technology prepare graduates for high-demand technical roles at ExxonMobil, Chevron Phillips, LyondellBasell, and other major employers. The college competes in the NJCAA in Region XIV as the Navigators, adopting its current identity in 2022. With open admissions and among the lowest in-district tuition rates in Texas, Lee College provides direct workforce training and transfer pathways for Baytown and Harris County residents.
