“A faith-rooted, servant-leader-focused college in the heart of greater Kansas City.”
Kansas Christian College (KCC) is a small, private, accredited institution affiliated with the Church of God (Holiness), located in Overland Park, Kansas, a vibrant suburb in the greater Kansas City metropolitan area. Founded in 1938 as Kansas City Bible School, the college has evolved considerably since its origins in the basement of a Kansas City church, growing into an institution that now occupies a 12-acre campus in the heart of one of the Midwest most economically dynamic cities. In 2015, the institution adopted its current name to reflect both its Christian faith tradition and its broader academic mission: developing servant leaders who are grounded in holiness, intellectual curiosity, and Kingdom service. Academically, KCC organizes its programs across three divisions including Bible and Theology, General Education, and Professional Studies, offering associate, bachelor, and graduate degrees in fields including Business Leadership, Psychology, Elementary Education, Healthcare Administration, and Leadership and Ministry. A standout feature is the college 3+1 dual-degree program, allowing students to complete a Bachelor degree and a Master degree (MBA or Master of Christian Ministry) in just four years of study. Program delivery is flexible, with both traditional on-campus and fully online options available. The college small size of 163 students and 8 full-time faculty ensures highly personalized instruction and close faculty-student relationships. Campus life at Kansas Christian College is centered on community, faith, and practical leadership development. The primary residence hall, Shaver Hall, houses up to 86 students and is located a two-minute walk from classrooms. A campus chaplain provides weekly chapel services, discipleship groups, and one-on-one mentoring. Located in Overland Park, ranked among the top cities in the country by Travel and Leisure, students enjoy access to a booming metro economy, professional networking across Kansas City diverse business sectors, and a welcoming Midwestern community aligned with the college mission of servant leadership.
