“Start Smart. Finish Strong.”
Front Range Community College (FRCC) is a public community college serving the northern Colorado Front Range region, with campuses in Westminster, Longmont (Boulder County Campus), and Fort Collins (Larimer Campus), plus a robust online program. Founded in 1968 — tracing its heritage to the State Board for Community Colleges and Occupational Education established in 1967 — FRCC is the largest community college in Colorado, serving approximately 32,000 students annually. The Westminster Campus is historically notable as the site of the world's largest solar-heated educational building when it opened in 1977, with over 4,000 flat-plate solar thermal panels. FRCC offers more than 130 degree and certificate programs across business, health sciences, technology, trades, and the arts. The college serves a wide geographic area of Colorado, providing affordable transfer pathways to Colorado State University, University of Colorado campuses, and other four-year institutions. Strong programs in nursing, cybersecurity, early childhood education, and technical trades support the booming Colorado Front Range economy. FRCC's mascot, Apollo the Wolf, embodies the college's spirit of intelligence, community, and tenacity in pursuing educational goals.
