Fort Hays State University (FHSU) is a public university founded in 1902 as the Western Branch of Kansas State Normal School, located in Hays, Kansas. The fourth-largest of six Kansas state universities, FHSU serves approximately 15,100 students and is the largest university in western Kansas.
