Elgin Community College (ECC) is a public community college founded in 1949, serving Kane County and surrounding communities in northeastern Illinois. ECC enrolls approximately 9,600 credit students with associate degree programs, certificates, and transfer pathways across more than 120 areas of study. The Spartans compete in NJCAA Region 4 athletics in a variety of men's and women's sports. Located in Elgin, about 35 miles northwest of downtown Chicago, ECC provides students with access to the Greater Chicago area's dynamic employment market.
